UPPERCASE and lowercase force every letter one way or the other — handy for fixing text typed with Caps Lock on. Title Case first lowercases everything, then capitalizes the first letter of each word, which gives clean headlines even from ALL-CAPS source text. Capitalize Each Word also capitalizes every word, but leaves the rest of each word untouched, so names written as McDonald or iPhone keep their internal capitals. Sentence case lowercases everything, then capitalizes the first letter of each sentence (after . ! or ?). aLtErNaTiNg case flips letters back and forth letter by letter, and iNVERSE case swaps every letter to the opposite case of what it was.
Only letters change. Digits, punctuation, spaces, and line breaks pass through exactly as typed, so the converted text keeps its original layout and can be pasted straight back where it came from.
Title Case or Capitalize Each Word — which do I want? For headlines and titles, Title Case: it cleans up stray capitals inside words. For lists of names or product titles where internal capitals are intentional, use Capitalize Each Word so nothing gets flattened.
Does alternating case restart after spaces? No — the flip-flop runs continuously across letters only; spaces and punctuation don't reset the pattern.
Is my text uploaded anywhere? No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on this page — nothing is sent to a server or stored.
